Intensive hands-on instruction for high school students, Bowhunting University provides students an in depth knowlege of archery equipment, technique, skills and safety, as well as developing a love and respect for the outdoors.
Topics include: bow maintenance and repair, treestand safety, bowhunting strategy, and shot placement. Using simulated hunting experiences as teaching tools, students will participate in daily 3D shoots, trail camera competitions and mock blood trails.
Camp participants will leave with advanced capabilities, new friends and greater confidence.
For middle school and high school students, Hunting Academy focuses on improving skills and safety as related to the use of shotguns, rifles, and muzzle loaders in the pursuit of big, small and upland game. Participants will spend time each day on the range or shooting clays in simulated hunting situations. Topics include: safety, shooting form, hunting strategy, gun care and maintenance.
Options, for both of these programs, may include Hunter Education Certification, International Bowhunting Certification, and ATV
Rider Certification. Both programs will be intentionally small in number, in order to provide quality teaching time and maximize
relationship building/mentoring opportunities. Our desire is that kids leave not only as better hunters but also as better people in
character, values and faith. |
