While serving for thirteen years as a Pastor to children and families, Steve Scott found himself seeking to blend his passion for mentoring kids and strengthening families with his love for the outdoors and hunting- the result was the founding of On Target Outfitters in the spring of 2008.

His path has taken him from the woods near his home in rural New York to Chicago, where he met his wife while attending the Moody Bible Institute. He then went on to Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio and Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

In addition to the degrees he earned from these institutions, he has also become a Hunter Education Instructor for the State of Ohio and is a certified archery, rifle, shotgun and pistol instructor.

Steve has hunted turkey, black bear, antelope, whitetail, upland birds, waterfowl and small game- and whether hunting abroad or at home, enjoys the outdoors most when sharing it with others.

They taught me not only the skills needed in the outdoors, but about life, family and what it means to have a relationship with the greatest mentor of all, Jesus Christ.
